Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation (MCWT) team, Wayne County Community College District team and amazing volunteers – Please accept my deepest gratitude for your time and dedication resulting in THE BEST MCWT GET-IT Day in our history! Once again, the WCCCD campus provided a welcoming, engaging space to host our THREE HUNDRED girls. We are so grateful for your continued support for this project.Cortney Ventrone your keynote was inspiring and engaging and we absolutely loved that the girls jumped right in to step up front and go on the mic and engage in the presentation! To our teams running the technical sessions and expo booths, your investment in curating awesome hands-on content hit the mark 100% teaching the girls about Python, AI, Robotics, Virtual Reality, Cybersecurity and so much more, all while having a great time. The smiles abounded and were completely infectious in the photo booth, especially with the adorable MCWT hats!Matt, Wanda and Orletta thank you for your messages to the girls regarding the possibilities they have in education and technology. I know we inspired many of them to join in both the MCWT and WCCCD summer camps.Thank you so much to our generous sponsors Ally AlixPartners Autodesk BorgWarner and Verizon who made this event possible. Finally, thank you to Tammy Doroshewitz and the MCWT staff for the hours of preparation and hard work planning an executing this event. You are the best!We truly appreciate all of you and we look forward to continuing to work together to inspire the girls to follow a path to technology and make Michigan the #1 state for girls and women in tech!Thank you!Darlene and Meghan E. Giammarusti
