This beauty is nestled in northern Michigan, north of Traverse City. It has chinking spacers on the outside and the interior too so the homeowner will never have to touch it again.
What do we have here … Heaven on Earth? This lodge is filled with custom pieces, including the log rafters to accent the ceiling. The rest of the ceiling is done with our 6″ tongue and groove natural knotty pine paneling. The richness of the walls was created with our 3″ x 10″ log siding with a bronze stain. Our 4″ x 6″ D trim accents the windows and frames the view.
Visitors have no idea what’s on the other side of this unassuming WoodHaven log home. It’s beautiful and quaint from the front and a jaw-dropper all the way through and out the back.
This side of the Fox Woods Lodge faces a lake in northern Michigan. It is a fantastic display of WoodHaven building products highlighted by stonework. The room to the left is the entryway. If you were lucky enough to visit, you’d be welcomed on the other side.
From the D trim around the windows in the dormers and lower level, to the butt-n-pass corners, the details around and in this custom pine WoodHaven lodge kind of sneak up on you.
A garage is just a garage unless it’s made with WoodHaven half log siding. This one is sporting our half log smooth pine log siding on its exterior.
This commercial building makes a statement with its solid WoodHaven 3″ x 8″ hewn half log siding. Special touches like the 8″ birch posts and D trim helped transform it into a northern Michigan landmark, across from the bay near downtown Traverse City.
Go ahead and take a minute. That poolroom is off to the far left. The covered porch is on the other side. Everything you see here, except the roof, windows, shutters, foundation, and stonework is WoodHaven log.
The quality of our building materials makes all the difference in the woods! There’s really no other way to go but with WoodHaven products if you want something as stunning as this.
If you like the butt-n-pass look, consider kicking it up a notch by separating it from stonework with our 3″ by 6″ sill as this homeowner did. You could add our 4″ x 6″ D trim around the doors to tie it all together.
That’s our wood on the walls and the ceiling. Sorry, we can’t claim the staircase, but the pre-finished knotty pine paneling in 1″ x 8″ on the ceiling provides a nice contrast to 10″ half log hewn white pine siding on the walls, don’t you think?
Diners love the entrance to Ma Deeter’s restaurant. The original building stood for decades before burning to the ground last fall. It was considered to be the largest commercial log cabin building east of the Mississippi. We helped it rise from the ashes. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, it’s located about 30 miles east of Grayling, Michigan. Check out the WoodHaven products they used: 2” x 7” D trim in the interior, 3” x 8” hewn half log on the exterior, half log rafters, 1” x 8” tongue-and-groove end-matched knotty pine on the ceiling, and 2” x 8” quarter log pine on some of the interior walls.
