Ali Rezvani was responsible for interrogating Maryam Mombini and attempting to extract her forced confessions on camera. Maryam Membini is the wife of university professor and environmental activist, Kavous Seyed Emami, who died in prison on 8 February, 2018, under the detention of IRGC intelligence forces.
On 26 June, 2018 Mahmoud Sadeghi, a member of parliament, announced the "raid" of security officers on the house of Kavous Seydamami, in order to "record footage for a film." On 11 November, 2018, the IRIB broadcast a program entitled "Permanent Suspects", about environmental activists detained by IRGC intelligence, including Kavous Seyed Emami, in which Ali Rezvani was seen interviewing a security expert. After his image was broadcast, Ramin Seyed Emami, the son of Kavous Seyed Emami, announced that Ali Rezvani was the same person who had interrogated his mother, Maryam Membini, and that the stress of the images had upset her so much that she had been taken to hospital.

As an IRIB reported, Ali Rezvani has been directly involved in recording and broadcasting the forced confessions of members of the family of Masih Alinejad, a journalist and women's rights activist, as well as in pressuring to Zarrin Badpa, the mother of Masih Alinejad, to agree on giving a televised confession against her daughter.
On 29 September, 2018, in a program titled "Bedoon-e-Taarof", the IRIB broadcast the forced confessions of Masih Alinejad's family members against her under the title "Interview". On 11 November, 2018 Masih Alinejad announced on his Twitter account that Ali Rezvani, and two Ministry of Intelligence agents, had gone to her mother's house and pressured her to make a televised confession.
On 28 October, 3019, a video was released of Ali Alinejad, the detained brother of Masih Alinejad, in which he reported that his parents were under pressure to confess on television against Masih Alinejad

Ali Rezvani, as the host of the "Bedoon-e-Taarof" program, is directly responsible for recording and broadcasting the forced confessions of Ruhollah Zam, a journalist and director of the Amad News channel, on 10 July, 2020. Ruhollah Zam was lured from France to Iraq by Iranian intelligence agents during a deception operation and then transferred to Iran, where he was tried and sentenced to death for "corruption on earth." The death sentence of Ruhollah Zam was carried out without the knowledge of his lawyer and family on 12 December, 2020. At the end of the program, Ali Rezvani, who personally appears in the video of Zam's Forced Confessions, thanks the IRGC Intelligence Organisation for "cooperating in making this film."

In a joint letter to the European Union Council on 30 January 2020, 13 international and Iranian human rights organisations have requested the sanctioning of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcast (IRIB), and seven officials responsible for the broadcast of forced confessions extracted from political prisoners on the 20:30 news bulletin, including Ali Rezvani . In this letter the signatories write: "We, the undersigned of this joint letter, remain gravely concerned about the ongoing and systematic use of televised confessions obtained under torture and ill-treatment in Iran."
